Description: This is a recording of a NYC Chapter webinar, held on March 16, 2017.
This is the second of a 3-part series about passive house standards. We will explore the development of the International Passive House standard and generally review how to achieve certification for new and existing buildings. This webinar will include an introduction to the PHPP energy modeling tool for demonstrating compliance with the standard.

Ed May has a BFA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a Masters of Architecture from Parsons the New school. Ed has been an Adjunct Professor at Parsons the New school University as well an Industry Professor at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ where he directed their 2015 US DOE ‘Solar Decathlon’ entry. In addition, Ed teaches with the Passive House Academy and is certified by both the Passive House Institute (PHI) and the Passive House Institute of the US (PHIUS) as a Certified Passive House Consultant.
